The long entryway in the room is a great concept more hotel need to employ as it cuts you off from some of the hallway noise, and gives a nice little kitchen/desk space area. Very comfortable beds, great bathroom. The complimentary snacks/drinks in the room were a great surprise as Americans used to those sort of things costing extra in hotel rooms. Very responsive and helpful owners.

The manager Koa was courteous, considerate and helpful. Upon my request for a quiet room, he gave me an upgrade to a one-bedroom apartment facing an inner courtyard and provided a late checkout upon learning my late departing flight. Everything in the apartment was clean, well-equipped and comfortable. I will stay there again when I am in Wellington again.

Situated in Wellington's CBD, Doubletree By Hilton Wellington offers guests a city escape, just 450 metres from the waterfront. Excellent location, central to many attractions it is within walking distance to museums and downtown, directly across the street to cable car. Parking wasn't as difficult as some opinions suggested, it cost $35 per night. The reception guys were well prepared with printed plans of the area and directions for the guests, however, the Gray St. lane is busy and can be difficult to check in because there are only two bays belonging to Double Tree Hilton. The staff at the reception was very polite and attentive, they made us feel welcomed and important. Good breakfast.
