The York Hotel, hotel in Weston-super-Mare

Opposite Weston Pier and located 54 miles from Cardiff, The York Hotel has stunning sea views across the bay, and a chic wine bar for you to relax in.

Excellent location. Although the front of the hotel was busy and noisy, our room (305) was quiet and had good views of the beach and sea. Public areas of the hotel are much better presented than the room we had. Staff were excellent (with one very stressed exception :-( ) and breakfast was very well presented and delicious. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel before booking in and after booking out, which was very helpful - thank you.

Nice little town on the sea. Nothing exceptional but really nice if you’re after something different from countryside. Do not expect a wealthy area however it is acceptable and locals are nice people.

I originally come from Weston and to me I feel like I am always coming back home and try to visit as often as I can. I would like to move back again in the future but it isn’t good timing yet. The Bridgwater carnival is a regular activity I always come back for every year as you have to see it to see how amazing it is. Weston is on the flat and everything is in walking distance and the bus and train station is close by and regular to other destinations to visit.

There are a lot of good things to do ,plenty for kids .the beach is massive though the sea doesn't visit often and your left with miles of mud ,lots of tired looking areas but on the whole it's a 6 out of 10

We love Weston-super-Mare. We have been a few times now. The beach is my favourite that I have ever been too. It is incredibly clean and big. Amazing walk along the promenade and the town centre shopping, especially the sovereign shopping centre is Great. We have two small children so the pier and what used to be Funland was brilliant, but we are so gutted that it is no longer there. We will be going back to Weston every year

Weston super mare looks very tired, very popular though for families but parking is a nightmare, at the time of our visit it was busy and very noisy with motor bikes, and loud music blaring out everywhere the pier opened late but closed early nicest place to eat was bistrot Pierre

Old school B&B perfect for pre-breakfast seafront walks followed by a generous cooked breakfast. If you are looking to rekindle your childhood, this is the spot. The location is a lovely walk along the seafront and far enough from the centre that you can simply enjoy the sound of the sea. The staff are all incredibly friendly. Lots of the guests during my stay had mobility issues, obviously check with the hotel before you stay, but it seems that they are well prepared in terms of access and parking was available directly in front.

We have stayed at the Lauriston many times. The location is great, buses just outside that go to various places. The restaurants along the seafront are just a short walk away. Breaakfast at the hotel is very good, as are the sna cks and drinks during the day.. The staff are all very friendly. The weather was good while we were there so most days we sat in the lovely gardens, usually with a lager & crisps or a sandwich. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes a laid back atmosphere and great staff !!!!

The hotel has a prime location on the seafront, as it is above and part of the Wetherspoons group food is available at very reasonable prices as with the drinks. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Any issues dealt with in a timely manner. Parking in weston is a premium but there is a quiet long stay carpark within a 5 minute stroll. Payment can be made at either the machine or by the miipermit app. £6 for 24 hours or £30 for a week. Eggs benedict for breakfast was stunning with perfect poached eggs.

We really enjoyed staying in this very nice traditional hotel with the friendly owner and the nice staff. English breakfast was just perfect. We liked the tower room with the beautiful seaview and the nice balcony. We discovered several places such as Bristol, Bath, Bibury and Castle Combe. But walking along the beach in Weston-super-Mare is also a nice idea to spend a day and finish it in one of the restaurants along the seafront. And the weather in April was just perfect for this trip.

Small but comfortable room with sea view clean and bright bathroom with double shower and modern fittings. Overall a good hotel with pleasant helpful staff . Didn't eat in the restaurant but the bar snacks were good value and tasty..wasn't keen on the pre cooked buffet breakfast although the cold section was good. Would definitely stay again!!

The hotel is basically on the seafront. It's in a great location near the town centre and opposite the "Sea Monster". We stayed in a beautiful, seaview room. (Ask for "Weston Bay" to get the nicest room.) Staff were very friendly and obliging. Good continental breakfast was included. Our dog was made welcome.

It was easy to find, Lorraine who served me was excellent and helped change my room when I requested it and was most helpful and polite. The room I was given was large and comfortable but the view was not of the seaside which was impossible as the the hotel didn't face that way.
