The location was fantastic with beautiful views over the Annecy lake, the hostess was very friendly and gave us a lot of tips where to go in the neighbourhood, the garden was beautiful to watch stars and the breakfast was amazing!
On top of that, the beds were so comfortable, we were very well rested after our stay at La Vallombreuse, I would 100% recommend everyone to stay here.

Menthon-Saint-Bernard is a very small town but it has a bar, restaurants, bakers and a well-stocked "local" supermarket. People very friendly! Where nearby Annecy is a beautiful, bustling city, Menthon is better for those who prefer the relative peace of the lake and mountains, yet is only a half hour drive into the city. There is also a bus service. Obviously very popular with cyclists, it is a VERY cycle-friendly place! There were lots of annoying roadworks at the time of our visit. We ate at the hotel and at the Chalet by the lake - nice, chilled pub-grub type food.DAPHNEFrance

The staff (there are a lot of them) are really helpful. The room was very well laid out with a large bedroom, amazing view and little balcony with 2 chairs, a closet, bathroom and separate loo. The spa was closed when we were so I can not say but I'm sure it's great because I looked at it. The beach is beautiful and there is so much to do in the area - cycling, hiking, eating, water sports, relaxing, and more.
