Nice place in general. Cool restaurants and bars can be found all over. On the negative side it was extremely hot and it is a very pedestrian unfriendly city. The traffic lights are designed to give priority to cars, while pedestrians have to stay in the sun waiting and when it turns green for pedestrians you have only 8seconds to cross any avenue! This is the default setting in all traffic lights for pedestrians. Get ready to run!

Larnaka is a large town with a main airport nearby
Very nice and modern by the beach and there is a lot of modernisation and improvement going on. Some parts away from the sea front are in need of upgrading. It is a working town rather than a seaside resort.
Loads of bars and restaurants
It is pleasant to stroll round the old town and visit the old castle and the beautiful main church.
There is a long sandy beach but Mackenzie Beach 20 -30 min walk is nicer
There is not a lot to in the town itself other than visit the beach but we found plenty to do by going further afield
Mackenzie beach which is a bit of a walk away (or taxi 10 euros) has a much more relaxed and classy feel with soft sand , shallow water and lots of nice bars and cafes
The bus service is much better than expected and goes to all major destinations on a regular basis. Only around 4euros per person to go on an hour or so's journey is great value. The inter city start and finish stop is on the sea front road near the marina
We went to Nicosia (well worth a visit - get off at last stop) and
Nissi beach (50mins) is stunning but can get crowded
You can also get the 'Love Bus' an open top tour bus which goes to sights outside of Larnaca town which are hard to get to including the salt lake Angeloktisti Church and Mosque. It stops off for visits to these places. It does cost 20 euros per person though
We really enjoyed the 'Yellow Submarine' boat, which has a glass viewing area at the bottom, for a sunset tour to see a wreck and fish swimming. Great views of the sunset and planes going right overhead and landing at the airport if you are into that!

A nice city in Cyprus, driving to Aia Napa close with great cliffs and views. Relaxing surroundings with a bit of shopping on small inner city streets and bigger Metro Mall. Good place to kick back, take things slow and enjoy.

I have been to Larnaca many times, primarily visiting friends and colleagues for a local Christian charity. Nothing is very far away in Larnaca, it has the castle and St. Lazarus Church, and is ideal for day trips to Limassol, Nicosia, Ayia Napa and Paphos. There is also a bus service to the airport.

Larissa is an interesting city with lots of facilities.
Larissa is an interesting city with lots of facilities. I shopped at the market and mini supermarkets and ate at the local restaurants and cafes. I loved the beaches the walk to McKenzie along the promenade or through the old Turkish quarters. The intercity buses are great as are the local buses. Buy a movement card and travel cheaply. My favourite cafe is Gregorys I like the Kebab Hut, the Lebanese restaurant has the most delicious food as does Takis.

Larnaca has been home from home for the last 30 years.
Larnaca has been home from home for the last 30 years. Everything you need is there and very convenient for the airport. You do not need a hire car if you are in the centre, Finikoudes or Piyale Pasha areas. Excellent choice of restaurants, snack bars etc. Good shopping and ample supermarkets / corner shops for the self catering. There is something for everyone, regardless of age.
First welcoming and very friendly staff
Reception staff are very responsive and cooperative once upon check-in we received 2 vouchers for welcome drinks
Food is amazing including breakfast and dinner at rooftop was delicious with a fabulous ambiance and a late singer show
Rooms are spacious clean and tidy room service is up to the level ready to supply all facilities and amenities
Hotel location is superb in middle of city center
Hotel should be rated as 5 stars instead of 4!!!
We only stayed for a couple of nights, at the end of our trip to Cyprus. The apartment is bright & sunny, very conveniently located - the bus stop to the airport is a few minutes walk as well as the waterfront walkway. The bed was extremely comfortable (memory foam?), I'd give it a 10/10. I loved the balcony and as we had already toured Larnaca, I spent much of our limited time relaxing there. The hosts are very friendly and communication was a breeze.
Fantastic hotel , spotlessly clean and fantastic location and value for money , receptionist was extremely polite and helpful , i have stayed in various hotels in Larnaca and some a lot more expensive but this apartment is one of the best and extremely cheap , the room was a great size no street noise but so close to the beach , i would recommend this place to anyone and i have already recommended to a friend.
The staff working in this hotel it belongs to a 5 stars hotel. People are kind, service oriented, polite and HUMAN, they make you feel at home, well, a really fancy home. Installations are perfect, I usually don't come to larnaca but as far as I saw this is the best you can find in here. Bedroom perfect size, clean, plugs near the bed, good wifi, excelent breakfast and amazing dinner. Absolutely recommended
The hotel is located just in front of the Finikoudes bus station. Very easy to reach from the airport. All the cafes, restaurants and markets are nearby. All the main attractions are in a walking distance. Beach is in a street away, 2 minutes walk.
The room was large and bright, with a big balcony, with a city and sea view.
There was a problem with the main door lock which was solved very quickly.
We had all inclusive pack - overall it worth - the food was diversified at the main courses, but the snacks could be improved. The hotel is close from the beach and the sea shore is ideal for the families with little children because the water is not deep for at least 50 m, is clear and is only with sand. Big pools with clear water.
Well connected with buses to Larnaca and to the airport.
Comfortable beds, good breakfast (especially the fresh orange juice), nice balcony, free drink voucher on arrival, good amenities (nespresso machine with unlimited pods).
Good location -close to airport and Mackenzie beach. From the hotel it is a walk of 15 minutes along the coast to the fortress (and center) of Larnaca.
Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the beach and main bus stop. Only 10 minutes in taxi to Larnaca airport. Cleanliness was exceptional. Towels changed daily, bedding changed every couple of days.
Good choice of breakfast. Staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend Frangiorgio hotel for service and cleanliness.
Hotel very cheap and near the airport. To reach te center there is about 2km. In front of the hotel there is the beach of Larnaca, the sea is not one of the top on the Island. Despite the hotel is near the airport from my room I never hear the airplane. I don’t had a breakfast in the hotel.
The veranda the view and the telescope was the best part of the apartment combined with the complimentary fresh fruit!! I must say it was one of the best flats I’ve rented on booking in Cyprus! Next time I’m coming to larnaca either with friends or alone I’m renting this apartment 100%
Modern and clean hotel located in the heart of Larnaka, close to the main shopping street and beach promenade. The staff is nice and polite, hotel facilities and breakfast exceed my expectations. Highly recommend this hotel for Cyprus vacation and we definitely come back.
The kitchen is very well equipped, and there's a laundry which is a plus, however it is very hard to air dry clothes with Cyprus's humidity (has nothing to do with the hotel just an insight). The location is central and easy walking distance to restaurants and beaches.
The view from the balcony was breathtaking and the room was very comfortable. It was the best bed in terms of comfort that we had during our Cyprus trip. The hotel was very clean and fresh feeling. The cafe was delicious but a bit pricey compared to other options.
Booked this as it was near the airport and we arrived at 11pm and didn’t seem worth paying for one night at the 5 star we stayed at for the rest of the holiday.
Very warm welcome and very clean and comfortable- as good a hotel as I’ve stayed at for £50 a night.
Great and happy staff. Hotel is close both to the airport and Mackenzie beach, as well as about 20 minutes walk from Larnaca. The hotel staff will really do they best to give you early check-in free of charge if there's possibility for that.
Near the beach, and very good for that price in Larnaka. Walking near the sea, you need 15-20 minutes to get to the center and to the bus for another part of Cyprus. The accommodations were good, and the staff was very polite and helpful.
We had a brief but fantastic stay at La Veranda Hotel. The room was impeccably clean, and we appreciated its proximity to both the beach and the airport.
